Homemade almond milk is so refreshing, alkalising, and energising!

NUT MILK- Almond Milk

Makes approximately 900ml - store in the fridge in a sealed glass jar and use within 3 - 4 days

1 cup almonds

4 cups purified water

Soak the almonds for approximately 8 hours in purified water (make sure they are completely submerged with water in order to not go mouldy)

Empty the water from the soaked almonds and rinse. Place the almonds in a blender with 4 cups purified water and blend well. Strain the liquid through a nut milk bag (I prefer cotton muslin bags over nylon). Store the strained liquid in a glass jar in the fridge and use within 3 - 4 days. Use the left over pulp to make our choc chip cookies or add into any breakfast smoothie.
